It is believed to be the center of personal power, self-esteem, willpower, and self-control. It is associated with the fire element and is related to our ability to be confident and control our lives. 

When it's balanced, it can give us a sense of personal power and self-confidence, feeling courage and pleasure in our accomplishments. 

When blocked, it can cause feelings of low self-worth, powerlessness, or an inability to take action, coming from fear, anxiety, guilt, or shame.
